Gardner Panther Buzz Bars
The first thing that I was aware of when I purchased the buzz bars was the weight of them. For what they are I thought that they were on the heavy side, but like the "Twistiks", they are a superior piece of kit. Finished in the same shade of green as the "Twistiks", they are made for each other, and apart from the practical side of things, they look good as a pair.
The bars themselves are made from an oval section, which makes it impossible for the inner's to twist. They have the same screws as the twistiks. Solid brass with a small nylon tip on the thread which means that when tightened they really do grip the inner's without damaging them.
I have my Fox "S" alarms mounted on the bars and screwed firmly onto the "Twistiks". I then take the centre from the "Twistiks" and complete with alarms store them for transport in my Hi-Lux chair. When I get to the bank, I screw the outer "Twistiks" into the ground using a tommy bar, and then simply slide in the inner complete with the buzz bars and alarms. Once set up they are as solid as a rock, and even with the 6010GT's all set solid, I have never had any worries of them giving under the strain of a taking carp.
Like all of the Gardner tackle, I can heartily recommend them.
